Items that you don’t want to ship:
Dried flower arrangements, items of memorabilia (family photo albums, etc.), items that cannot be replaced.
Food
Foods are NOT covered by our insurance plan. Try to empty out your freezer prior to the day of your move. You may ship canned goods if needed, but you won’t be able to claim these items if they get damaged in transit.
Vehicles
When shipping vehicles make sure they have only ¼ tank of gasoline.  Make sure the anti freeze and oil levels are full.
It is best to wash your car prior to shipment. Â Make an itemized list of all damage and compare your list to the form the movers prepare prior to the shipment to eliminate discrepancies. Be sure you keep a copy of these lists.
When you receive your vehicle, thoroughly check it over in the daylight. If you cannot inspect your car, please indicate that an appropriate inspection has not taken place.
NOTE: We do not store automobiles and motorcycles.
Refrigerators and Freezers
Please make sure they have been defrosted an cleaned at least one day prior to loading.
Waterbeds
Waterbeds MUST be drained one day prior to the day of the move. (Our moving company does not drain for fill water beds)
Computers
If your computer has a hard drive, be sure to park the heads. Â Remember to place toppers in the disk drives.
Gypsy Moth Inspection
You may be asked to sign a form verifying that a Gypsy Moth Inspection has taken place. Â Shipments traveling across state lines should have this form showing that any outside items are free of gypsy moths.
For more information on this and other topics please see the Moving Guide section on our website.
